Travelling exhibition: 1st stop Italian Cultural Institute in Prague
27 May – 2 July 2021
curated by Silvana Annicchiarico

Always attentive to the theme of sustainability, Gervasoni was chosen to participate with its products in the travelling exhibition “ECODESIGN: 3R Reduce Recycle Reuse”, organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, whose first stop will take place from 27 May to 2 July at the Italian Cultural Institute in Prague.

A project curated by Silvana Annicchiarico that, in the coming months, will also reach the cities of Doha, Shenzhen and Hong Kong. It has the aim of giving space and visibility to the new frontiers of design by telling the story of the journey that companies and designers are making towards an increasingly green approach along with their ability to apply typically Italian know-how and creativity to the new environmental demands.
The central themes of the exhibition, recycling and reuse, will be addressed through the presentation of a selection of recycled objects, products and furnishing accessories, but also new products made with sustainable materials and technologies, each one of them describing a way of rethinking design and production in a sustainable perspective, one that is attentive to future generations.

Gervasoni participates in the exhibition with the coffee tables made of cork, CORK 42 and CORK 45, designed by Paola Navone. Furniture with shaped and rounded silhouettes, part of a collection composed of coffee tables and poufs, choosing a durable, water-repellent and sustainable raw material such as cork, that gives it great versatility and a naturally material look.
Gervasoni’s commitment to the environment is witnessed first and foremost by the significant use of natural materials of certified origin, together with compliance with the highest international standards in terms of attention to the environment, with the aim of continuing to promote the idea that design and sustainability are no longer two disjointed concepts, but perfectly integrated.
Since 2011, in fact, the energy of Gervasoni manufacturing is green, thanks to the installation of a photovoltaic system consisting of 2,346 solar panels that, in addition to producing clean energy, avoid the emission of 300,000 kilograms of CO2 per year, the equivalent of more than 100 fewer cars on the roads.
